Welcome to #90mStrong Mondays. Here we’ll share a story from one of the 90 million people who oppose the death penalty. Are you one of the #90mstrong? Raise your voice to put an end to the death penalty! Share your story at ncadp.tumblr.com.
I believe the death penalty is immoral. It says that society can kill a person to prove that for them to have killed someone is wrong. That makes no sense to me.
It has been carried out on innocent persons throughout our history. For every person in our recent times that has been proven innocent and freed from death row, there is at least one who was killed before proof was found.
The statistics from states that carry out the death penalty as compared with those that give hard life sentences prove that the latter is more of a deterrent from committing the crimes punishable by death. I know I would not want to spend the rest of my life behind bars.
As a follower of Jesus Christ who let all violence stop with him, I cannot accept killing in my name persons created by God.

The NCADP has created the 90 Million Strong Campaign to unite the voices of those who believe the death penalty is wrong. We need to demonstrate that the broad public support to end this practice is already here in America, and 90 million people speaking up can make a difference.
