On Saturday morning, June 29th Diann Rust-Tierney, Executive Director of the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, appeared on the Women’s Media Center Live with Robin Morgan – a weekly radio show broadcast Saturday mornings on a CBS station in the nation’s capital.

Program host Robin Morgan is an award-winning writer, feminist leader, political analyst, journalist, editor, and co-founder of the Women’s Media Center. Ms. Morgan has published 21 books, including the now-classic anthologies Sisterhood Is Powerful.
On this show Morgan interviewed Rust-Tierney about how “the death penalty is in decline.”
During the interview Rust-Tierney discusses the role of innocence on public opinion, educational efforts, the importance of strong political leadership and ways to get involved with the death penalty abolition movement.
