Jack Greene is scheduled to be executed for the 1991 murder of Sidney Burnett.
During trial, experts testified Greene exhibited symptoms of delusions and severe mental illness. His attorney contends Greene would not be competent enough to understand his punishment and therefore, should not recieve the death penalty.
Arkansas has previously carried out a conveyor belt of executions when the state's stockpile of drugs for execution was about to expire. Greene's date was set soon after the state was able to replenish its lethal injection supply.
