A Change in Execution Methods Does Not

Nebraska recently unveiled its new death chamber for prisoners convicted of capital crimes and sentenced to death. Where the space once housed an electric chair, it is now fitted with a gurney and other equipment for administering lethal injections. The Lincoln Journal-Star editorializes that the "new" execution methods does not represent an improvement -- and states its continuing opposition to the death penalty in Nebraska and elsewhere.
