Anti-death penalty activists share their ideas and strategies through panels and workshops that are held daily. We hear words of inspiration for the struggle that lies ahead from prominent individuals.
Abolitionists from across the country will make their voices heard by demonstrating against the death penalty. Our afternoon direct action will feature a protest march followed by a rally in the heard of the city.
The NCADP believes in the arts as a form of critical resistance against the state’s use of the death penalty. We devote an evening to sharing in music, dance, poetry, drama, and other vital forms of cultural expression.
We honor those persons who by sacrifice and dedication have made a tremendous
difference in the struggle to abolish the death penalty. In the presence
of these “unsung heroes,” we as a movement find strength to continue our
work.
