Leda is honoring Jack with her $100 contribution. She’s in her 80s and lives in Pennsylvania. Leda committed to ending the death penalty because of her late husband, Jack, who died a little over two years ago. They’d been married for 59 years, and for about 10 of those years Jack kept a journal that Leda knew nothing about. 

 

After Jack died, Leda found his journal, which about knocked her sideways, because it was so deep and powerful. Leda was especially impacted by the following words Jack wrote, “The death penalty is man’s worst cruelty.”  And Leda said “I can’t believe we’re still doing this, and I hope and want to do away with it in my lifetime.” 

 

Leda is among the 90 million Americans who believe the death penalty is wrong. Contribute to the Coalition and mobilize 90 million people to put an end to the death penalty once and for all.
